Question: How much does the FlexTrak GPS tracking unit cost?
Answer: $379.95 per unit. Now on sale: $325.00. The activation fee is $10.95. The carrying case will be $59.95. The annual fee for 150 updates per month is $163.52.

Question: How long will the battery last before needing to be charged?
Answer: The FlexTrak battery will last up to 7 days based on 5-10 locates per day. It will last up to 3 days using every-minute continuous tracking. The tracking unit will go into sleep mode when the vehicle is not moving.

Question: Do I have to have a cell phone or purchase cell service as well as FlexTrak service?
Answer: No, FlexTrak provides a complete service including the GPS vehicle tracking unit, software and network connectivity to the GPS vehicle tracking unit. All you need is a PC with an internet connection and a vehicle to track!

Question: I do not want people to be aware of the FlexTrak GPS vehicle tracking unit on the car. Where should I place the unit so it won't be discovered?
Answer: The unit should be placed under the bumper attached to a metal surface and hidden from easy viewing.

Question: Is it difficult to install?
Answer: There is no installation required for this unit. Once the unit is charged, place in the ruggedized magnetized box and attach to a metal surface on a vehicle (or other item you wish tracked).

Question: Can the FlexTrak unit do continuous tracking?
Answer: Not at this time. FlexTrak is designed as a ‘locate on demand’ unit that will allow you to ‘ping’ the unit 150 times per month. Please view the LastTrak 8100 if you need a battery operated unit with continuous tracking.

Question: Where will the FlexTrak GPS tracking unit work?
Answer: The FlexTrak GPS tracking unit will work in the US and Canada. Mexico is an additional charge (please indicate Mexico enabled during purchase).

Question: Is there an extra charge for the water resistant case for the FlexTrak unit?
Answer: Yes, The carrying case is optional. Only those FlexTrak units which may exposed to water need to make use of the carrying case. A power adapter for battery charging is included with every FlexTrak.

Question: What happens if I go over the 150 locates allowed per month?
Answer: You will be charged a small amount per locate. Additional pings are $.25 per locate billed at the end of that month.

Installation: When installing the FlexTrak inside or outside of a vehicle, place the unit in an area with the least amount of metal directly above the device. The most common mounting locations are inside the glove box or inside the plastic bumper with space for the unit.
